The Rules

ReformedBlogs.com is for Christian bloggers writing from a Reformed perspective.

If you wish to create a blog with ReformedBlogs.com, you must

1. Hold to one or more of these Reformed Confessions.

Westminster Confession and Shorter and Larger Catechisms
London Baptist Confession
39 Articles of Religion
Heidelberg Catechism
Belgic Confession
Canons of Dordt

2. Embrace the Five Sola’s of the Reformation:

Sola Scriptura – Scripture Alone
Sola Fides – Faith Alone
Sola Gratia – Grace Alone
Solus Christus – Christ Alone
Soli Deo Gloria – For the Glory of God Alone

An explanation of these can be found in the Cambridge Declaration from the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

3. Be civil.

Reformed folks are known as a combative bunch, so… think irenic thoughts. Here’s a great suggested reading list from David Wayne:

G. K. Chesterton’s Advice to Christian Bloggers – Jollyblogger

Some thoughts on Godly disputation, or “How to Have a Christ-like Argument.” – Jollyblogger

On Controversy – John Newton

How to Deal with Those Who Differ from Us – Roger Nicole

4. Write about whatever you want.

Just because this is a site for Reformed bloggers doesn’t mean you can only talk about Reformed theology. The Reformed faith influences every area of life, and so ReformedBlogs can cover any topic.

These guidelines are heavily inspired by the League of Reformed Bloggers.

If the London Baptist Confession is allowed, why not Cranmer’s Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion?

Hmmm… 1, your comment form needs a little bit of tweaking with some <br> loving.

2, I’m particularly curious as to whether you guys mind the occasional bit of cussing…
